How a round works
01Set up once
- Sites
- Each property or water system, with its water system ID printed on reports.
- Operators
- Everyone who records readings, with their initials. No accounts or passwords.
- Rounds
- The readings you take, from a library of free and total chlorine, pH, turbidity, temperature, source and master meters, flow, pressure, tank level, pump hours, yes/no and pass/fail checks, or your own.
- Ranges and schedules
- The minimum and maximum you work to for each reading, and when each round is due: daily or on chosen weekdays.
02At the tap
- Readings like an instrument
- Each reading gets a large field with its unit, sample location and configured range. The decimal keypad moves field to field.
- Flags, not judgments
- A value outside your range is marked "Outside configured range" and confirmed before you submit.
- Meter usage
- Usage since the previous reading appears as you enter a meter. A lower reading is caught: correct it, mark a reset, or add a note.
- Never lose a half-done round
- Drafts save as you go and resume where you left off.
03Afterwards
- History and trends
- Every round by month, searchable and filterable, with trend charts for any numeric reading against your range.
- Corrections with a trail
- Fix a submitted round any time; the old value, new value, time and reason are kept.
- Reports
- A PDF log for any date range, and CSV exports (one row per reading, or one row per round) for spreadsheets and state forms.
- Backups
- One file with everything, saved where you choose. Restore it on this or another iPhone.
Your records stay on your iPhone
No account, no server, no cloud sync. Sites, rounds and readings are stored only on the device, and the developer never receives them. Reports and backups are created when you ask and go only where you send them. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
Pricing
Free to download. Your first 7 rounds are free with every feature: reports, exports, trends and backups included. After that, a Premium subscription, monthly or annual, lets you keep recording new rounds. Prices are shown in the App Store.
Your records are never held hostage. With or without a subscription, you can always view, correct, export and back up everything you've recorded.
Not ready for an app?
The same records work on paper. Print a chlorine residual log sheet or a daily log sheet for your round, or use the meter usage calculator, which runs on the same math as the app.
Questions
Does it work without cell service?
Yes. Everything works offline, including in a well house with no signal. The app only goes online to check your subscription with Apple.
Can more than one person use it?
Yes, on the same iPhone: add each person as an operator and every round carries their name and initials. Records live on one iPhone; there's no sync between devices. Backup files can move the whole logbook to another iPhone.
Can I enter readings from a paper log?
Yes. Record Past Round lets you enter a round with the date and time the readings were actually taken. The app keeps that separate from when you entered it, and marks it as entered later.
Does it tell me if my chlorine is safe?
No, deliberately. You set the minimum and maximum you work to, from your state's rules and your operator's judgment, and the app flags readings outside that range. It never supplies limits of its own or calls a value safe or unsafe.
Does it file my state reports?
No. It keeps the daily record and produces PDF and CSV reports you can use to fill in your state's forms. It doesn't send anything to your state.
What happens after the free rounds?
The first 7 rounds are free, with every feature. After that, a Premium subscription (monthly or annual) lets you keep recording new rounds. Everything already recorded stays available to view, correct, export and back up, with or without a subscription.
